Are you Call'n Me Lazy?

 Well I'm Not!!!  I just believe in having the best tools to make your craft fun and exciting.  A Boyle Electric Yarn Ball Winder was delivered last week. 

I ordered and received the following beautiful Sundara Yarn sock yarn:

The colors are (left to right) Nile Discovery, Festival of Light and Marina Over Icicles.  I'm totally in love with Sundara's yarn.  When it arrived I wanted to try out my new electric yarn ball winder.  So off I went.

This is the greatest little machine!!!!  I am so impressed  To have a little machine wind your yarn instead of me winding is just a little wonder.  It does make me feel a little spoiled, however it was not that expensive.

As my DH says "You got it all, Patty".

Just Ordered Me A New Sock Pattern - Come See

Oh guess what!  I just killed two birds with one stone!  I believe that's how they say it.

I always read Irishgirlieknits blog We Do Not Have A Knitting Problem .  Today I found a lovely surprise.  She had posted a new sock pattern.  It's name is Dotty and is named for her grandmother.  I fell in love instantly.  I thought oh yes, I had to have this pattern, then I read that she would donate 50%  of the price of each pattern to Autism Speaks.  What a wonderful thing for her to do.

For this pattern I'm doing something special. As some of you may know, I have worked with children with autism for the past 20 years. For seven years, my organization has participated in the Walk Now events that raise money for children with autism. This year the Walk Now for Autism Speaks walk is June 5. From now until then, I will be donating 50% of the sales of this pattern to the Walk Now for Autism Speaks Event. I'll be participating in this event again and my fundraising page is here. I'm hoping this will be a small way for me to support many of the families and children that I work with!

Mother's Day

I want to wish all the Mothers a wonderful Mother's Day today!!!

Me?  Mine was the best!  Here is the picture of the Pandora bracelet my wonderful grandson, Ryan sent to me.  It has the CUTEST Hedgehog charm, kitty and little boy (Ryan) charms.  I was so surprised.  I love, love, love it!

Thank you so much Ryan.  I love you!

Maybe I'll set Friday's aside for things I have found that are "interesting".

Last night I was trowling iTunes and Amazon for what's new in my music world to upload to my IPhone.  You will not guess this new album I stumbled across.  I haven't listened to it yet, but thought my fellow knitters would be interested in this.

I wouldn't ever expect to see a ball of yarn on a music album.  I do need to check out the preview songs on it.  It just might be a great one to listen to while we knit.

This is such a cool bowl.  I'm thinking about getting a few more.  You know how we knitters are?  One of anything is never enough. 

Let's just start over!!!

I notice that Jake was on the computer last evening trying to break the ice for me.  Well, he is right.  I am back!!  I would just like to just start all over if I could.

The last two years have been spent in my family genealogy.  I have learned so much about both sides of my family especially my father's and their part of history.  I'm not by far complete but will continue to work on my tree as an on going project.  I do recommend that everyone do this.  It is an amazing journey that you will travel.

Here's mine about 17 rows out.  My length is the same as the pattern, no changes made.

I'm sorry my picture is not the best, I need to get to know my camera again.  I'm knitting the scarf in the suggested Rowan lima yarn, Andes colorway.  It's a delightful yarn to knit with.

I have a secret to tell you. She's back!!!

Hi Everyone!  I don't know if you remember me, but my name is Jake.  I have a secret to tell you, now lean in real close to me...my Momma, is coming back to blogging.  Yes, I know it's been a long time, WOW, it's been two years.  She will have to tell y'all what she has been doing.  Me, I've been playing with my toys and lying on my perches watching those little yummy birdies outside my window.

She has been knit'n again with real purty yarn.  I think she plans on showing a picture tomorrow. 

Now you got ta be real quiet about me tell'n ya this, my momma will get real mad at me for telling.

Oh, I'm so excited about tonight!! The Housewives of New Jersey starts.... (red face) I have such a crush on that beautiful hairless cat.
