Needles? What's On My Needles?

I know I've been showing a lot of stash this week. 

I do have a couple projects on needles.  I guess I can show you.  Okay, you twisted my arm.  My first project is one that everyone is knitting.  I can now understand why.  It's the Chevron Scarf in STR.  I'm going to do something different this time and NOT tell you what colourways I'm using.  You have seen these used together before.  So I'll let you guess.  Go ahead and tell me...You know them.

The next project is my Monkeys...Monkeys...who's got the Mini Monkey Socks?  That's right I'm knitting them in that purty PigeonRoof Studio's Blossom.

I do have one other project on the needles but it is just a swatch.  I am going to cast on for my swatch for the Mystery Stole 3.  In fact that is the reason I must go now.  See ya later.

An Update And A Little Show N' Tell

First I want to share with you that yesterday's showing just might be the one!  We received a phone call from our agent last night and said the people just loved it.  They loved everything thing about it.  So much that they couldn't understand why we would want to put it up for sale?  Can you believe that?  They wanted to know if we had a problem with our neighbors or what?

The reason we are building a new condo is that we need more room.  When we down-sized to this condo all was taken into consideration with exception of my knitting and sewing.  I have not been even able to have my sewing machine out since we moved in here.

Our new condo will have a bonus room.  Yea  That I will have all for me.  I just can't wait.  It will be great.

Please keep your fingers crossed for us!!!

I'll introduce them to you.  Let's see (from left to right)  The first two are her In-Sync Sock yarns.  They have coordinating toe/heel yarn.  Colourway for first is Strawberry Blonde and then Margaritaville.

The next two are in her Superwash BFL Yarn yarns.  Colourway for these are Bright Pearl and then Cosmopolitan.

Just another day and another showing...Oh my!

This housing market must get better!  Do you hear me?  It must get better!

Today at 1:00 we have another showing.  arg!  It's not that we don't get the showings.  I guess I shouldn't complain about that.  And our report card from the agents well, that couldn't be better.  They say everyone had interest with the exception of one.  That it shows excellent and is just like new...every body loves it.  So why doesn't it sell.  Did I tell you it is a condo?  Some people are concerned about the placement of their furniture...and if they buy will have to get rid of some of it or buy new.  dah   I will vote "YES".  You are probably downsizing.

We are between a rock and a hard space on when we want our home to sell.  It gets so confusing in my head.  NOW vs LATER?  Don't know?   They haven't even broke ground for our new condo.  Those of you who have ever been in our shoes know what I'm going through.  Now, would possibly been moving into an apartment for awhile until ours is complete.  That means two moves with alot of furniture going into storage.  Oh, I'm getting a headache just thinking about it.  But you gotta do what you gotta do.

3MS....It's the Mystery Stole 3 KAL.   

Yes, lace knitters it's back.  Melanie from Pink Lemon Twist is bringing it to us again this year.  It starts June 29, 2007. 

If you haven't joined it in the past.  It is a lot of fun.  Melanie will post in a series of clues.  You follow the clues and and you'll have a stole at the end of the KAL.

There's a lot of conversation on what yarn to purchase.  She instructs you clearly here and even gives you what to knit to make sure your gauge is correct before the KAL starts.

So, this is what I recommend, go and join up.  I would say that there are a tremendous amount of sock knitters out there that know lace.  How many of you have knit lace sock before?  That is all that it takes.

And look at this.....    You get this absolutely FREE for joining. Ummm. I was wondering. I have this friend who is an amazing knitter. She loves KAL's and she loves buttons. I have seen her knit everything EXCEPT a lace stole. Do you think that maybe Tiennie of Tiennie Knits would be up to this challenge???? :)))

I'm just kidding Tiennie, I know that you would knit one gorgeous stole.

I guess I just need to add that I have my beads and yarn ordered. What yarn am I using? I'm going to knit my stole in Zephyr (Vanilla). I've ordered several different color of beads so I won't know until I actually have everything in my hands will I know which I will use.

She Finished Her WoolGirl Socks and All is Fine...Super Fine!

I showed you the WhatnotSock yarn by Union Center Knits on my Yarn Pr*n Friday picture.  I purchased the yarn from Woolgirl , which is one of my new favorite places to shop.

Ladies and Gents.  I give you the first look at my beautiful socks that are knitted in the colourway of Woolgirl and the coordinating shade of Pink for toes and heels.

I enjoyed knitting with this lush yarn very much. It was very soft, pettable and absolutely no splitting. It was my kind of yarn. I used Wendy Knit's Generic Toe-Up Sock Pattern. On this sock I used her older pattern, however she has been knitting different styles of toe-Up and heels. You need to go to her site and check out the different patterns. I'm going to be trying them out.

Oh, I need to show you my new purchase from One Planet Yarn & Fiber. It's a Sock Diva Sock Bag. I love this sock bag! It is just the right size for one of my sock projects. Now you know, you can't have enough knitting bags! This is one of my weaknesses. Oh, God Bless America, I swear you can't have enough bags! I used to be that way with shoes.....umm well I better not lie, I still love shoes. I think the knitting addiction has helped the shoe addiction. Is anyone else like me?

I just wanted to give those an update that knew that we are in the midst of selling our home and building a new condo.

Then the fun things with the new condo as far as working with the agent and what we want to do. Like add 4' to the garage and to the front of the house, bump out the kitchen 2', etc. .....come back and sign more papers. Last week met with the mortgage pre-approval people. Yea....we passed. We went back Saturday to decide where we wanted to place extra electrical plug-ins. Next we meet with security, cable and computer people. Also then we meet with the color people to pick out all the goodies.

It's all a process that we must go through and I have to tell myself to take a breath now and then.

It's all good!

Yarn Pr*n Friday!

Okay, I'm so sorry I've been AOL and I left my blog unattended.

But as you can see I've done a little redecorating.  I hope I didn't scare y'all when all the color popped up but I got bored with my other decor and thought I'd move my furniture around a bit.  I picked this wonderful banner up from Zoot's Designs.  Her designs and such only fit Blogspot and other media now so I had to copy the banner and work it  up from there.  I think it's great.   She has some great ones and they are free.  You need to check her site.

I did say I have some Yarn Pr*n, didn't I?  Will here it comes!  I have some wonderful yarn!

This yarn is by PigeonRoof Studios Yarns and Fibre. The colourway is Blossom. I got this yarn from Jen at Woolgirl Yarns. This yarn is gorgeous and I can't wait to knit a pair of socks with it.

AND:

This yarn is by The Knittery. The colourway is Summer. It is Merino Cashmere Sock yarn, which is 70% merino wool, 10% cashmere, 20% nylon. I also purchased this yarn from Woolgirl Yarns. This is a super nice yarn. It feels so soft and the pink and greens are lovely together. As you can see by my new blog colors, I'm not partial toward these colors. Oh no...not at all!

AND:

This yarn is from Stone Barn Fibers (Gypsyknits). The colourway is Dick and Jane. The yarn is BFL superwash fingering wool. They call it "The Poor Knitter's Cashmere". I purchased this yarn from Sheri at The Loopy Ewe. I think this is going to be another great one. The colors are delicious.
